North Toronto Basketball and The Love of the Game Shooting Clinics are happy to announce that NBA Shooting Coach Dave Love will be coming to the GTA to run a shooting clinic for players ages 11+.
Coach Love has worked in the NBA since 2009, for teams like the Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic. He helped Tristan Thompson of the Cavs become the first player in the history of the NBA to switch shooting hands, and that year Tristan shot a career high from the FT line. In Orlando, Coach Love worked with players like Aaron Gordon, Elfrid Payton, Dewayne Dedmon and Bismack Biyombo. Aaron Gordon improved 30% from the FT line in one season, and all players shot a career high while working with Coach Love.
At this clinic, Coach Love will weave stories about his travels in the NBA into a comprehensive lesson on how different parts of the body affect at players shooting abilities. Players will learn WHAT to do, but also WHY to do it, and HOW to build these habits. Everyone in attendance will leave the clinic with a great understanding of how their shot works and the work needed to improve.
Coaches are welcome as volunteers at these clinics. This gives you access to learn from Coach Love, work with players, and ask questions. If you would like to volunteer, please email [email protected]
