NTBA Community Update (February 2018)

North Toronto Basketball Association (NTBA) Families & Friends,

The 2017/2018 NTBA season is well underway!

House League.  Boys (http://www.ntbasketball.com/?page_id=62) & Girls (http://www.ntbasketball.com/?page_id=60) HL recently concluded with several exciting playoff games.  Congratulations to all involved and watch for info next month on the 2018/2019 HL season.

Rep.  Boys and Girls Rep team tryouts were held in Sep 2017.  All teams have now been selected – check the Rep section  (http://www.ntbasketball.com/?page_id=214) of our website for further info.

We have finalized our 2017/2018 sponsors.  We are delighted that Elite Basketball Camps is again our lead sponsor for the 2017/2018 season.  Elite Camps – established 1999 – runs basketball programs across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and provides quality instruction by experienced coaches for male and female athletes ages 5 to 16.  For info on their latest programs please check out www.elitecamps.com.  We were also pleased that Westdale Properties (http://www.westdaleproperties.com/), David Dunkelman (http://www.realestatewithdavid.com/) and entripy.com (https://www.entripy.com/)  have returned as sponsors for the 2017/2018 season.

AND – new & exciting news – Swish Sister Basketball  has joined us as our latest sponsor.  Check out their website for further info / registration .. or email Swish Sister directly at info@sistersports.com

The NTBA is a non-profit organization that relies on coaches and organizers who contribute their time on a voluntary basis.  We are grateful to our sponsors who assist us in defraying the escalating costs of sustaining and building a high quality basketball program.  We encourage members of the North Toronto Community to patronize our sponsors and consider the sponsorship opportunities offered by the NTBA.  Please visit the sponsorship page on our web site (Become a Sponsor) for more information.

Finally – as a volunteer-led community-based not-for-profit organization we are interested in adding new members to our “working” Board.  Board members have specific responsibilities, meet four times a year and spend many hours inside and outside of the gym in support of our program.  Some basketball knowledge is required as well as organization and people skills – as well as a commitment to the NTBA and our community.  If you think you have what it takes, please reach out to a Board member to discuss further.

Thank you – go Huskies!
