NTBA Community Update (July 2018)

North Toronto Basketball Association (NTBA) Families & Friends,

Summer is here – and preparations for the 2018/2019 NTBA season are well underway!

House League.  Registration for the 2018/2019 Boys (http://www.ntbasketball.com/?page_id=62) & Girls (http://www.ntbasketball.com/?page_id=60) HL season (which runs from Oct-to-Feb) is OPEN for BOTH Returning and New players.  Space is limited – click the REGISTER button in the top right nav to enroll.

Rep.  Teams completed their 2017/2018 seasons including Ontario Cup play (with several teams earning medals).  Check the Rep section  (http://www.ntbasketball.com/?page_id=214) of our website for further info soon on the 2018/2019 season.

We thank our 2017/2018 sponsors.  Our lead sponsor this season was again Elite Basketball Camps.  Elite Camps – established 1999 – runs basketball programs across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and provides quality instruction by experienced coaches for male and female athletes ages 5 to 16.  For info on their latest programs please check out www.elitecamps.com.  Westdale Properties (http://www.westdaleproperties.com/), David Dunkelman (http://www.realestatewithdavid.com/) and entripy.com (https://www.entripy.com/)  also returned as sponsors for the 2017/2018 season.  In addition,  Swish Sister Basketball  joined us as our latest sponsor.

The NTBA is a non-profit organization that relies on coaches and organizers who contribute their time on a voluntary basis.  We are grateful to our sponsors who assist us in defraying the escalating costs of sustaining and building a high quality basketball program.  We encourage members of the North Toronto Community to patronize our sponsors and consider the sponsorship opportunities offered by the NTBA.  Please visit the sponsorship page on our web site (Become a Sponsor) for more information.

Finally – as a volunteer-led community-based not-for-profit organization we are interested in adding new members to our “working” Board.  Board members have specific responsibilities, meet four times a year and spend many hours inside and outside of the gym in support of our program.  Some basketball knowledge is required as well as organization and people skills – as well as a commitment to the NTBA and our community.  If you think you have what it takes, please reach out to a Board member to discuss further.

Thank you – go Huskies!
