NTBA Community Update (September 2020)

North Toronto Basketball Association (NTBA) Families & Friends,

We trust you & your family/friends are well and safe.

After careful consideration and as previously communicated, we have made a number of decisions regarding the 2020/2021 NTBA basketball season.

House League.  The 2020/2021 Boys (http://ntbasketball.com/boys-house-league/about/) & Girls (http://ntbasketball.com/girls-house-league/about/) HL season has been cancelled.  Refunds have been processed for players who had registered and paid.  We look forward to better times and hope that HL can restart in the Fall of 2021.  Our HL season historically runs from Oct to Feb so registration for the 2021/2022 HL season will be targeted to open in the Spring of 2021.

Rep.  The start of the 2020/2021 Rep season has been delayed.  Please keep checking the Rep program (http://ntbasketball.com/rep-program/) and team & coach (http://ntbasketball.com/rep-program/rep-team-coach-contact-details/) sections of our website for further updates.

We thank our sponsors.  Our lead sponsor is once again Elite Basketball Camps.  Elite Camps – established 1999 – runs basketball programs across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and provides quality instruction by experienced coaches for male and female athletes ages 5 to 16.  For info on their latest programs please check out www.elitecamps.com.  David Dunkelman (http://www.realestatewithdavid.com/), Sister Sports (https://www.sistersports.com/) and entripy.com (https://www.entripy.com/)  have also returned as sponsors.

The NTBA is a non-profit organization that relies on coaches and organizers who contribute their time on a voluntary basis.  We are grateful to our sponsors who assist us in defraying the escalating costs of sustaining and building a high quality basketball program.  We encourage members of the North Toronto Community to patronize our sponsors and consider the sponsorship opportunities offered by the NTBA.  Please visit the sponsorship page on our web site (http://ntbasketball.com/sponsors/) for more information.

Finally – as a volunteer-led community-based not-for-profit organization – we are interested in adding new members to our “working” Board.  Board members have specific responsibilities, meet four times a year and spend many hours inside and outside of the gym in support of our program.  Some basketball knowledge is required as well as organization and people skills – plus a commitment to the NTBA and our community.  If you think you have what it takes, please reach out to a Board member to discuss further.

Thank you – go Huskies!
